Android Have One Continue to Beeping When Text Message

No alarm or timer are set. Can't find an app that isn't working right. It beeps whenever day or night. Do I want to reset it or delete all the apps and re do them?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Try Safe Mode, which will tell you if it's a 3rd party app or a system app. On most Android devices, while powered on, press and hold Power until the Power Off menu appears. Press and hold the Power Off selection until the Safe Mode prompt appears. Tap OK.
If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.

My S5 beeps too !!!
Work phone: I had an S3 (no beeps) -- now have S5.
Personal phone: have an S4 (no beeps)
I don't like the S5 at all !!!! I can't get it to stop beeping as well ... and the navigation takes me back to internet pages that I was never on.
The only thing I can come up with is that the antenna is weak or interrupted. I rarely get 4G anymore. So it is constantly trying to make a connection - hence the beeps as all notifications are turned off.
Quite annoying, but since it is a work provided cell, I don't think I can change providers or turn it in for a different one. Would love to see any other responses on this issue - how to fix it or if it is related to antenna. Thanks.04-21-2015 11:51 AM

Try checking if the following could be the problem:
- Settings - check that you have set the notifications in your apps settings to have sound turned off to make sure one of them isn't sending you constant annoying messages
- App Problem - there may be an app that is having a software glitch. Don't rush to delete everything, but go through your open apps and turn them off one at a time to see if the prob resolves itself
- Phone Problem - the problem may be with your phone itself. Try restarting it and see if the issue resolves
- Last resort - if the above don't work than I'd suggest resetting your phone to factory conditions

If the problem occurs in safe mode, then what will a factory reset do? Is there a monitoring tool i can use to see what's active the moment it beeps n vibrates?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone do you have? If it's a Samsung, you can try Nice Catch. Also, see if it still happens with NFC turned off.

If the sound is the same as when you plug in your charger, it might be the adaptive battery charging option. Either turn off the Adaptive battery option or turn off the charging sound. I went with the latter.
